Beyond the Gravestone Blog 8/26/2012
It is Sunday, August 26 and day four of the Brooklyn fair. We are having a great time here meeting a lot of people and enjoying the great fair food. The weather has been warm (HOT) during the day and comfortable at night. We have spoken to several people who think what we are doing is a wonderful service that is needed, and we have met those that think our undertaking is just a little morbid.
We have new friends across the way at the Del’s Lemonadestand, those poor guys were stuck sitting on crates Saturday morning and Lisa brought over a couple of our camps chairs for them. They were very appreciative and made us lemonades during the hottest parts of the day. It was great Lemonade too!
The Apple Crisp baker across from us is having fun at his booth, so much fun watching him and his family make the apple crisp and interact with people. They make great apple crisp, I have gotten their Super Awesome Apple Crisp with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and caramel sauce. It was awesome, each time…..
Also across from us is GKS Electrical service, we have visited several times; he is a very nice person to talk to, funny and down to earth. We have enjoyed each other’s company over the course of the weekend.
Yesterday we were awarded third place in the best vendor display contest. Lisa’s design has gotten a lot of compliments, it is tastefully done and deserving of the ribbon.
